Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.65%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 2.66% or 33.80 points to trade at 1,303.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 2.02% or 3.20 points to end at 161.70 and Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) was up 1.80% or 9.60 points to 542.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which fell 2.30% or 310.00 points to trade at 13,150.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 2.11% or 290.00 points to end at 13,460.00 and ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) was down 1.39% or 1.70 points to 120.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 73 to 66 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to all time highs; up 2.66% or 33.80 to 1,303.80.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.69% or 0.55 to $79.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.77% or 0.65 to hit $83.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.00% or 19.35 to trade at $1,945.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was unchanged 0.03% to 6.87, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 103.39.
