Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.49% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 2.35% or 5.7 points to trade at 248.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 2.26% or 10.0 points to end at 452.5 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 2.22% or 6.1 points to 281.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which rose 0.31% or 0.11 points to trade at 35.64 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 0.52% or 45 points to end at 8700 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 0.60% or 50 points to 8370.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 117 to 32 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.21% or 0.55 to $44.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.15% or 0.54 to hit $46.22 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.95 to trade at $1359.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.03% to 6.7314, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4379.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 96.65.
