Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.46% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 4.45% or 18.4 points to trade at 432.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CO:GEN) added 3.65% or 45.5 points to end at 1293.5 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) was up 2.80% or 8.4 points to 307.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ISS A/S (CO:ISS), which fell 0.55% or 1.20 points to trade at 218.20 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 0.46% or 1.0 points to end at 214.9 and Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED) was down 0.05% or 0.20 points to 414.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 40 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) fell to 52-week lows; falling 0.46% or 1.0 to 214.9.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.23% or 0.86 to $70.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.67% or 1.25 to hit $76.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1314.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.21% to 6.2415, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 92.51.
