Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.44%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which rose 4.92% or 900.00 points to trade at 19,180.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 4.83% or 905.00 points to end at 19,635.00 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was up 3.43% or 10.10 points to 304.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG), which fell 4.13% or 16.60 points to trade at 385.20 at the close. Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) declined 2.33% or 19.00 points to end at 794.90 and Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) was down 1.13% or 7.20 points to 630.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 76 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.13% or 16.60 to 385.20.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.90% or 0.92 to $100.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.59% or 0.62 to hit $103.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 18.40 to trade at $1,885.70 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.83% to 7.05, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.73% at 103.07.
