Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.39% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which rose 3.80% or 3.80 points to trade at 103.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) added 3.22% or 11.60 points to end at 371.70 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 3.06% or 360.00 points to 12,115.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which fell 1.37% or 4.10 points to trade at 295.20 at the close. Genmab (CSE:GMAB) declined 1.08% or 23.00 points to end at 2,108.00 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 0.64% or 1.15 points to 177.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 78 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.65% or 1.22 to $75.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.53% or 1.21 to hit $80.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 4.05 to trade at $2,048.05 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.12% to 6.80, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 101.83.
