Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.37% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which rose 6.93% or 43.00 points to trade at 663.50 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) added 5.03% or 8.50 points to end at 177.40 and Netcompany Group (CSE:NETCG) was up 4.12% or 13.40 points to 339.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which fell 0.40% or 60.00 points to trade at 14,970.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 0.33% or 50.00 points to end at 15,300.00 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) was up 0.04% or 0.50 points to 1,119.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 92 to 58 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.52% or 2.03 to $82.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.70% or 1.48 to hit $88.45 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 3.09% or 54.45 to trade at $1,814.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.91% to 7.08, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.01% at 104.82.
