Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.34% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which rose 3.30% or 11.70 points to trade at 366.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) added 2.64% or 22.60 points to end at 878.60 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 1.75% or 14.60 points to 846.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 0.89% or 1.75 points to trade at 194.30 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) declined 0.62% or 5.80 points to end at 930.00 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) was down 0.57% or 6.50 points to 1,137.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 86 to 58 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to all time highs; up 1.75% or 14.60 to 846.90.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.62% or 0.48 to $77.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.51% or 0.42 to hit $82.35 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 2.80 to trade at $2,004.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.17% to 6.95, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 104.63.
