Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.33% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 2.96% or 8.9 points to trade at 309.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CO:GEN) added 2.01% or 28.0 points to end at 1418.0 and GN Store Nord (CO:GN) was up 1.95% or 4.2 points to 220.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which fell 0.84% or 0.31 points to trade at 36.58 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) declined 0.71% or 4.0 points to end at 561.0 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was down 0.66% or 2.4 points to 360.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 70 to 59 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.96% or 8.9 to 309.9. Shares in GN Store Nord (CO:GN) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.95% or 4.2 to 220.0.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.05% or 1.06 to $50.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.11% or 0.63 to hit $56.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.52% or 6.67 to trade at $1278.13 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.62% to 6.3382, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4428.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 93.41.
