Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.21% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 2.10% or 19.00 points to trade at 924.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) added 1.87% or 6.50 points to end at 353.20 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 1.80% or 2.75 points to 155.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which fell 2.70% or 58.00 points to trade at 2,090.00 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) declined 2.07% or 19.80 points to end at 936.20 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 1.99% or 190.00 points to 9,368.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 78 to 66 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.10% or 19.00 to 924.50.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.68% or 1.34 to $81.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.36% or 1.14 to hit $85.17 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.79% or 17.25 to trade at $2,163.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.53% to 6.85, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 102.92.
