Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.08% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 2.13% or 23.00 points to trade at 1,104.40 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 1.70% or 205.00 points to end at 12,295.00 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was up 1.59% or 4.00 points to 255.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 4.31% or 4.42 points to trade at 98.10 at the close. Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) declined 3.81% or 23.60 points to end at 595.80 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 1.71% or 16.00 points to 919.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 88 to 66 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to all time highs; rising 2.13% or 23.00 to 1,104.40.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.53% or 1.25 to $82.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.60% or 1.37 to hit $86.98 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 3.55 to trade at $2,022.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.57% to 6.79, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 101.32.
