Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 3.36% or 10.7 points to trade at 328.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CO:GEN) added 2.41% or 28.0 points to end at 1192.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 1.31% or 4.8 points to 371.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which fell 1.60% or 5.2 points to trade at 320.2 at the close. ISS A/S (CO:ISS) declined 1.49% or 3.50 points to end at 231.80 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was down 1.01% or 2.3 points to 224.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 83 to 34 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.36% or 10.7 to 328.7. Shares in ISS A/S (CO:ISS) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.49% or 3.50 to 231.80.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.41% or 1.39 to $56.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.10% or 1.32 to hit $61.54 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.60 to trade at $1266.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.29% to 6.3105, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4419.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 93.56.
