Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE), which rose 4.58% or 10.4 points to trade at 237.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) added 3.10% or 2.25 points to end at 74.80 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was up 3.02% or 9.8 points to 334.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa), which fell 2.22% or 230 points to trade at 10140 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 1.85% or 200 points to end at 10630 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was down 1.61% or 5.5 points to 335.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 39 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.32% or 0.75 to $57.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.85% or 1.15 to hit $63.35 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 3.90 to trade at $1249.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.09% to 6.3268, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4416.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 93.91.
