Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.01% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which rose 4.88% or 17.30 points to trade at 371.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 1.50% or 11.60 points to end at 786.40 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) was up 1.45% or 18.00 points to 1,255.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 2.87% or 3.30 points to trade at 111.60 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 2.12% or 270.00 points to end at 12,455.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was down 1.92% or 240.00 points to 12,270.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 68 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to all time highs; up 1.50% or 11.60 to 786.40.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.15% or 0.87 to $76.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.07% or 0.86 to hit $81.41 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 9.75 to trade at $2,077.15 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.29% to 6.87, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 103.05.
