Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were William Demant Holding A/S (CO:DEMANT), which rose 4.42% or 9.6 points to trade at 227.0 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (CO:GN) added 4.01% or 13.0 points to end at 337.0 and Genmab (CO:GEN) was up 3.88% or 43.0 points to 1150.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CO:AMBUb), which fell 3.52% or 4.5 points to trade at 124.6 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) declined 0.28% or 0.7 points to end at 252.9 and Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) was down 0.28% or 0.7 points to 252.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 76 to 54 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) fell to 5-year lows; down 0.28% or 0.7 to 252.7.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.81% or 1.12 to $63.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.80% or 1.29 to hit $73.06 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.93% or 12.05 to trade at $1285.75 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.19% to 6.6790, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4675.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 97.607.
