Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which rose 4.23% or 920 points to trade at 22660 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 3.98% or 930 points to end at 24310 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was up 3.39% or 5.2 points to 156.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which fell 1.34% or 4.4 points to trade at 324.1 at the close. Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) declined 0.39% or 2.0 points to end at 506.4 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 0.14% or 1.5 points to 1035.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 115 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.65% or 1.34 to $82.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.16% or 0.97 to hit $84.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 4.25 to trade at $1822.75 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.52% to 6.5121, while EUR/DKK rose 0.03% to 7.4404.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 95.085.
