Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 4.69% or 53.0 points to trade at 1183.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 4.45% or 12.2 points to end at 286.1 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 3.06% or 3.5 points to 117.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which fell 2.42% or 52.0 points to trade at 2098.0 at the close. Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) declined 1.72% or 11 points to end at 640 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was down 1.60% or 10.0 points to 613.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 94 to 50 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.06% or 3.5 to 117.7.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.25% or 0.16 to $63.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.30% or 0.20 to hit $65.98 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.47% or 26.50 to trade at $1771.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.43% to 6.0843, while EUR/DKK rose 0.07% to 7.4360.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 89.802.
