Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Personal & Household Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which rose 3.00% or 3.2 points to trade at 111.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) added 2.45% or 7.7 points to end at 321.4 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was up 2.04% or 16.6 points to 830.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 1.36% or 3.0 points to trade at 217.0 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) declined 0.88% or 3.3 points to end at 373.7 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was down 0.62% or 1.1 points to 184.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 88 to 73 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.88% or 3.3 to 373.7.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.58% or 1.71 to $67.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.60% or 1.80 to hit $71.03 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 13.50 to trade at $1790.00 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.06% to 6.5548, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4364.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 95.805.
