Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.69% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 3.14% or 380 points to trade at 12480 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 2.84% or 330 points to end at 11950 and Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) was up 2.14% or 7.40 points to 352.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH), which fell 1.28% or 7.0 points to trade at 541.0 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) declined 1.08% or 4.5 points to end at 414.0 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was down 0.36% or 0.9 points to 246.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 75 to 55 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) rose to all time highs; up 2.14% or 7.40 to 352.80.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.25% or 1.14 to $51.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.62% or 1.48 to hit $57.90 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.05% or 13.66 to trade at $1311.16 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.89% to 6.2823, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4408.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 92.47.
