Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Real Estate and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.69% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 1.72% or 175.00 points to trade at 10,365.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 1.68% or 170.00 points to end at 10,290.00 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) was up 1.64% or 5.90 points to 366.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 2.03% or 3.60 points to trade at 173.30 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 0.96% or 2.70 points to end at 278.90 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was down 0.94% or 8.00 points to 847.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 71 to 69 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.36% or 1.05 to $76.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.15% or 0.94 to hit $81.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.45 to trade at $1,992.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.13% to 6.84, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 103.67.
