Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG), which rose 1.86% or 2.90 points to trade at 158.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 1.39% or 8.00 points to end at 581.60 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was up 1.34% or 17.50 points to 1,321.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 5.99% or 16.70 points to trade at 262.00 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 2.75% or 2.60 points to end at 92.60 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was down 1.66% or 25.50 points to 1,510.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 64 to 60 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.99% or 16.70 to 262.00. Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.75% or 2.60 to 92.60.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.29% or 0.22 to $75.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.24% or 0.19 to hit $79.10 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 11.24 to trade at $2,770.44 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.11% to 7.16, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 108.04.
