Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.62% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 2.32% or 7.4 points to trade at 326.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 2.24% or 11.2 points to end at 511.4 and William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) was up 2.19% or 4.4 points to 205.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which fell 1.75% or 5.0 points to trade at 280.5 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 1.20% or 1.6 points to end at 131.2 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was down 0.82% or 2.0 points to 241.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 49 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 4.36% or 2.17 to $51.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 3.92% or 2.30 to hit $61.02 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.50 to trade at $1289.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.76% to 6.4764, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4666.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 94.903.
