Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Real Estate and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.60% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 2.68% or 325.00 points to trade at 12,440.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 2.43% or 290.00 points to end at 12,210.00 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was up 1.26% or 9.60 points to 774.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which fell 3.06% or 5.55 points to trade at 175.90 at the close. Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) declined 1.88% or 7.00 points to end at 364.70 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was down 1.80% or 5.30 points to 289.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 64 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.61% or 0.45 to $73.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.56% or 0.45 to hit $79.25 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 8.75 to trade at $2,056.45 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.46% to 6.78, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 101.52.
