Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Software & Computer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN), which rose 2.85% or 7.4 points to trade at 267.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) added 2.55% or 16.00 points to end at 642.40 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was up 2.21% or 2.2 points to 101.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH), which fell 1.35% or 7.8 points to trade at 568.6 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CSE:FLS) declined 1.29% or 3.2 points to end at 245.4 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 0.73% or 1.5 points to 203.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 66 to 57 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.35% or 7.8 to 568.6. Shares in Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.55% or 16.00 to 642.40. Shares in FLSmidth & Co. (CSE:FLS) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.29% or 3.2 to 245.4. Shares in Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) fell to 5-year lows; losing 0.73% or 1.5 to 203.2.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 4.68% or 2.51 to $51.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 4.24% or 2.50 to hit $56.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.47% or 36.65 to trade at $1520.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 6.6437, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4628.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 97.183.
