Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 5.41% or 620.00 points to trade at 12,090.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 5.37% or 610.00 points to end at 11,970.00 and Bavarian Nordic (CSE:BAVA) was up 3.82% or 7.45 points to 202.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 1.91% or 3.78 points to trade at 193.70 at the close. Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) declined 1.53% or 9.60 points to end at 619.40 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was down 0.92% or 0.95 points to 102.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 92 to 55 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.58% or 1.26 to $81.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.07% or 0.90 to hit $85.08 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 14.45 to trade at $2,018.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.47% to 6.83, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 101.84.
