Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Personal & Household Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.46% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which rose 2.75% or 7.9 points to trade at 294.7 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 2.73% or 196 points to end at 7370 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was up 2.62% or 7.5 points to 293.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 6.82% or 8.7 points to trade at 118.9 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) declined 0.77% or 1.9 points to end at 245.5 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 0.61% or 5.0 points to 816.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 75 to 53 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 4.45% or 2.40 to $56.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 4.36% or 2.54 to hit $60.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.35 to trade at $1556.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.48% to 6.7623, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4586.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 98.420.
