Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb), which rose 2.29% or 17.2 points to trade at 768.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) added 1.44% or 4.3 points to end at 306.7 and Genmab (CO:GEN) was up 1.35% or 13.5 points to 1016.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE), which fell 2.01% or 4.0 points to trade at 197.3 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) declined 1.72% or 6.5 points to end at 370.7 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) was down 1.59% or 5.1 points to 315.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 60 to 57 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.01% or 4.0 to 197.3.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.11% or 0.08 to $74.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.35% or 0.27 to hit $78.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 5.50 to trade at $1259.00 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.02% to 6.3908, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4511.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 94.25.
