Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which rose 9.65% or 15.60 points to trade at 177.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) added 6.45% or 21.90 points to end at 361.40 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 5.55% or 10.20 points to 194.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA), which fell 1.39% or 13.00 points to trade at 919.40 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) declined 1.13% or 7.60 points to end at 664.20 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 0.14% or 0.25 points to 178.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 106 to 44 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.67% or 2.55 to $72.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.57% or 2.65 to hit $76.91 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 2.82% or 56.25 to trade at $2,053.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 1.11% to 6.78, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.97% at 101.48.
