Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 8.87% or 17.35 points to trade at 213.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) added 8.68% or 67.80 points to end at 849.20 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was up 3.57% or 76.00 points to 2,206.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which fell 5.21% or 1,060.00 points to trade at 19,280.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 5.01% or 1,060.00 points to end at 20,090.00 and Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) was down 4.71% or 98.00 points to 1,982.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 121 to 46 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.71% or 98.00 to 1,982.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.01% or 3.48 to $119.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 4.69% or 5.54 to hit $123.65 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 14.10 to trade at $1,980.70 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.76% to 6.86, while EUR/DKK rose 0.12% to 7.44.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 99.24.
