Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which rose 2.55% or 2.8 points to trade at 112.7 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 2.36% or 350 points to end at 15195 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was up 1.86% or 17.2 points to 940.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 1.24% or 14.50 points to trade at 1157.00 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) declined 1.19% or 3.1 points to end at 256.5 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was down 0.73% or 3.2 points to 439.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 82 to 57 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.36% or 350 to 15195.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.15% or 0.08 to $52.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.33% or 0.18 to hit $54.92 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 4.90 to trade at $1834.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.08% to 6.1628, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4399.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 90.802.
