Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.15% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which rose 3.47% or 10.4 points to trade at 310.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 1.52% or 6.6 points to end at 439.5 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) was up 1.33% or 4.7 points to 357.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE), which fell 0.94% or 2.3 points to trade at 242.7 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) declined 0.85% or 0.65 points to end at 75.85 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was down 0.70% or 3.5 points to 499.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 71 to 55 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.33% or 4.7 to 357.5.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.70% or 0.42 to $59.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.83% or 0.55 to hit $65.91 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.40 to trade at $1290.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.35% to 6.2563, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4451.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 92.59.
