Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Industrials and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.11% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which rose 3.16% or 9.7 points to trade at 316.7 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 3.00% or 228 points to end at 7836 and FLSmidth & Co. (CSE:FLS) was up 2.19% or 6.0 points to 280.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 1.34% or 7.60 points to trade at 561.40 at the close. William Demant Holding A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 0.91% or 2.0 points to end at 217.1 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was down 0.90% or 8.0 points to 881.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 76 to 51 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.17% or 0.09 to $54.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.14% or 0.09 to hit $62.05 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1349.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.16% to 6.6604, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4670.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.953.
