Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Personal & Household Goods and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.10% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 1.77% or 140 points to trade at 8070 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) added 1.61% or 136 points to end at 8568 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was up 1.56% or 10.8 points to 701.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED), which fell 1.28% or 5.10 points to trade at 394.00 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 0.67% or 1.2 points to end at 185.0 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was down 0.53% or 2.2 points to 411.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 61 to 53 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.56% or 10.8 to 701.4.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.43% or 0.98 to $69.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.84% or 0.62 to hit $74.06 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.60 to trade at $1229.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.07% to 6.3793, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4507.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 94.32.
