Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Industrials and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.10% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 2.82% or 220 points to trade at 8028 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 2.14% or 160 points to end at 7640 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 2.03% or 10.2 points to 513.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which fell 1.43% or 6.4 points to trade at 442.2 at the close. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) declined 1.23% or 3.6 points to end at 288.7 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was down 0.80% or 2.8 points to 347.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 62 to 55 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.87% or 0.61 to $70.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.24% or 0.92 to hit $75.37 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.50 to trade at $1242.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.02% to 6.3875, while EUR/DKK fell 0.03% to 7.4543.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.58.
