(Reuters) - CSX Corp (O:CSX), the No. 3 U.S. railroad, said all shipments scheduled into the greater Miami, Florida area on Thursday through the weekend will experience delays due to Hurricane Irma.
CSX also said intermodal traffic destined to Florida East Coast Railway locations will be temporarily discontinued from 5 p.m. local time on Thursday until further notice.
The company said it has made "extensive preparations" as it continues to monitor the path of Hurricane Irma, including staging compressors, generators, ballast and work equipment.
