At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.67%, the S&P 500 index gained 0.71%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 0.97%.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock markets were mixed at close. France’s CAC 40 was up 0.27%; Germany’s DAX shed 0.06%; Britain’s FTSE 100 climbed 0.47%; and the EURO STOXX 50 fell 0.13%.
