Boeing gains after in-line deliveries in July

Investing.com -- Boeing climbed Tuesday after delivering 43 aircraft in July, that was in-line with expectations, supported by a "burst of activity" at last month's Farnborough Airshow, analysts at TD Securities said in a note. 

Boeing Co (NYSE:BA) rose more than 1% in recent trading.  

The deliveries in July "slightly lagged" CFO Brian West's Q2 call comment that 737 deliveries would be similar to June's 44 aircraft delivered, the analysts said, but the company 's 72 adj. net orders were "strong."

Boeing delivered 32 737s in July, which including 31 737 Max's, compared with 35 737s in June, 19 737s in May, and 16 737s in April. 

Rival aircraft maker Airbus delivered 77 aircraft in July, and registered 57 net orders.

Airbus delivered 77 aircraft in July, down from 67 aircraft in June and 53 aircraft in May.
