Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as in the sectors led shares .

The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which rose 0.47% or 0.40 points to trade at 85.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Sofina (BR:SOF) added 0.27% or 0.40 points to end at 146.20 and Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) was up 0.23% or 0.11 points to 48.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which fell 3.23% or 2.40 points to trade at 72.00 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) declined 1.99% or 1.680 points to end at 82.560 and Umicore SA (BR:UMI) was down 1.66% or 0.82 points to 48.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 81 to 33 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.39% or 4.90 to $1251.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.85% or 0.62 to hit $73.38 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.17% or 0.13 to trade at $77.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1579, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8845.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 94.91.
