Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB), which rose 1.84% or 1.90 points to trade at 105.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) added 1.19% or 0.26 points to end at 22.04 and Elia (BR:ELI) was up 0.71% or 0.350 points to 49.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were bpost NV (BR:BPOST), which fell 5.39% or 1.12 points to trade at 19.64 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 1.99% or 0.286 points to end at 14.066 and Proximus NV (BR:PROX) was down 1.76% or 0.45 points to 25.14.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 69 to 41 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in bpost NV (BR:BPOST) fell to 3-years lows; losing 5.39% or 1.12 to 19.64. Shares in Proximus NV (BR:PROX) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.76% or 0.45 to 25.14.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.41% or 5.40 to $1317.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.51% or 0.32 to hit $62.09 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.24% or 0.16 to trade at $66.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.39% to 1.2338, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8787.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 89.43.
