Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.95% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Sofina (BR:SOF), which rose 0.54% or 0.70 points to trade at 130.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Solvay SA (BR:SOLB) added 0.04% or 0.05 points to end at 121.05 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was down 0.07% or 0.010 points to 15.275 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KBC (BR:KBC), which fell 3.25% or 2.260 points to trade at 67.380 at the close. UCB (BR:UCB) declined 2.06% or 1.29 points to end at 61.41 and Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) was down 1.33% or 1.45 points to 107.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 58 to 50 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.95% or 12.08 to $1290.28 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.19% or 1.21 to hit $56.35 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.89% or 1.16 to trade at $62.52 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1790, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8930.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 93.63.
