Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX), which rose 3.11% or 0.56 points to trade at 18.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) added 0.47% or 0.50 points to end at 107.50 and bpost NV (BR:BPOST) was up 0.45% or 0.05 points to 11.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which fell 4.36% or 4.100 points to trade at 90.000 at the close. Argen-X (BR:ARGX) declined 3.85% or 3.30 points to end at 82.40 and Umicore SA (BR:UMI) was down 2.28% or 0.97 points to 41.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 78 to 44 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.21% or 2.50 to $1203.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.15% or 0.69 to hit $60.88 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.28% or 0.90 to trade at $71.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.74% to 1.1252, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8751.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 97.28.
