Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.89% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP), which rose 0.49% or 0.10 points to trade at 20.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) added 0.47% or 0.12 points to end at 25.68 and Elia (EBR:ELI) was up 0.30% or 0.25 points to 83.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS), which fell 2.14% or 1.57 points to trade at 71.79 at the close. KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC) declined 1.92% or 1.38 points to end at 70.48 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB) was down 1.47% or 2.90 points to 194.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 79 to 19 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.62% or 16.30 to $2,630.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $69.12 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.11 to trade at $73.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 106.18.
