Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR), which rose 0.64% or 0.36 points to trade at 56.38 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) added 0.39% or 0.042 points to end at 10.884 and Ageas (BR:AGES) was up 0.32% or 0.140 points to 44.390 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were bpost NV (BR:BPOST), which fell 6.15% or 0.64 points to trade at 9.76 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) declined 3.02% or 2.760 points to end at 88.620 and Argen-X (BR:ARGX) was down 2.55% or 2.10 points to 80.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 74 to 37 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) rose to all time highs; up 0.64% or 0.36 to 56.38. Shares in bpost NV (BR:BPOST) fell to all time lows; falling 6.15% or 0.64 to 9.76.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.14% or 1.70 to $1222.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.46% or 0.26 to hit $56.72 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.54% or 0.36 to trade at $66.40 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1445, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8908.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 96.12.
