Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Elia (EBR:ELI), which rose 1.40% or 1.05 points to trade at 76.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) added 0.29% or 1.80 points to end at 612.60 and Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (EBR:ACKB) was up 0.21% or 0.40 points to 193.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR:ABI), which fell 2.83% or 1.38 points to trade at 47.38 at the close. Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) declined 2.51% or 1.76 points to end at 68.47 and Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR:AZE) was down 1.56% or 0.30 points to 18.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 49 to 42 and 17 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.54% or 14.54 to $2,654.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.19% or 0.87 to hit $74.00 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.57 to trade at $76.50 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 108.81.
