Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were UCB (BR:UCB), which rose 1.89% or 1.12 points to trade at 60.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) added 0.87% or 0.25 points to end at 28.83 and Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) was up 0.75% or 1.10 points to 147.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which fell 2.11% or 1.830 points to trade at 84.780 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 1.31% or 0.200 points to end at 15.115 and Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) was down 1.17% or 1.20 points to 101.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 59 to 47 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.19% or 2.57 to $1326.73 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.34% or 0.17 to hit $49.72 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.09% or 0.05 to trade at $55.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1957, while EUR/GBP fell 0.98% to 0.8809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 91.81.
