Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were bpost NV (BR:BPOST), which rose 0.32% or 0.07 points to trade at 23.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) added 0.19% or 0.20 points to end at 107.40 and Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) was up 0.15% or 0.110 points to 75.810 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which fell 1.35% or 1.33 points to trade at 96.90 at the close. Aperam SA (AS:APAM) declined 1.02% or 0.45 points to end at 43.32 and Solvay SA (BR:SOLB) was down 0.89% or 1.10 points to 122.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 68 to 44 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.10% or 14.33 to $1312.23 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.34% or 1.60 to hit $46.27 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.29% or 0.67 to trade at $51.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1979, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.9264.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 92.17.
