Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were UCB (BR:UCB), which rose 2.60% or 1.60 points to trade at 63.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) added 0.56% or 0.15 points to end at 27.67 and Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) was up 0.28% or 0.30 points to 108.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR), which fell 4.94% or 2.22 points to trade at 42.71 at the close. NV Bekaert SA (BR:BEKB) declined 1.98% or 0.71 points to end at 35.15 and Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) was down 1.42% or 2.10 points to 146.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 75 to 38 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.94% or 2.22 to 42.71.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.64% or 8.28 to $1295.58 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.41% or 0.83 to hit $58.12 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.27% or 0.17 to trade at $63.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1917, while EUR/GBP fell 0.13% to 0.8936.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 92.72.
