Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 lost 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which rose 4.46% or 3.70 points to trade at 86.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Aperam SA (AS:APAM) added 2.08% or 0.64 points to end at 31.48 and Telenet Group Holding NV (BR:TNET) was up 1.06% or 0.46 points to 43.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Solvay SA (BR:SOLB), which fell 1.86% or 1.90 points to trade at 100.15 at the close. KBC (BR:KBC) declined 1.85% or 1.120 points to end at 59.560 and Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) was down 1.50% or 1.400 points to 92.240.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 60 to 55 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Argen-X (BR:ARGX) rose to all time highs; rising 4.46% or 3.70 to 86.70. Shares in KBC (BR:KBC) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.85% or 1.120 to 59.560.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.13% or 1.60 to $1228.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.61% or 1.65 to hit $61.45 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.39% or 1.75 to trade at $71.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1416, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8727.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 96.12.
