Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Beverage sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (EBR:ARGX), which rose 4.81% or 19.50 points to trade at 425.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Proximus NV (EBR:PROX) added 0.47% or 0.04 points to end at 7.48 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB) was up 0.20% or 0.40 points to 197.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Umicore SA (EBR:UMI), which fell 3.64% or 0.54 points to trade at 14.28 at the close. Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) declined 3.51% or 1.16 points to end at 31.91 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) was down 2.55% or 0.64 points to 24.42.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 66 to 27 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aperam SA (AS:APAM) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.55% or 0.64 to 24.42.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.32% or 7.60 to $2,336.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.64% or 0.52 to hit $81.11 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.70% or 0.60 to trade at $84.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 105.35.
