Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which rose 5.43% or 4.580 points to trade at 88.920 at the close. Meanwhile, UCB (BR:UCB) added 2.04% or 1.60 points to end at 79.90 and Argen-X (BR:ARGX) was up 1.33% or 1.00 points to 76.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which fell 1.50% or 1.16 points to trade at 76.23 at the close. ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) declined 1.36% or 0.152 points to end at 11.004 and bpost NV (BR:BPOST) was down 1.11% or 0.15 points to 13.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 60 to 54 and 25 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.08% or 1.00 to $1200.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.53% or 1.71 to hit $69.25 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.91% or 1.48 to trade at $78.85 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1589, while EUR/GBP rose 0.04% to 0.8905.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 95.20.
