Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Telenet Group (BR:TNET), which rose 1.10% or 0.52 points to trade at 47.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) added 0.89% or 1.00 points to end at 113.00 and Sofina (BR:SOF) was up 0.69% or 1.20 points to 174.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were bpost NV (BR:BPOST), which fell 1.62% or 0.22 points to trade at 13.39 at the close. Ageas (BR:AGES) declined 0.67% or 0.300 points to end at 44.490 and Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) was down 0.53% or 0.480 points to 89.260.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 57 to 54 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.89% or 1.00 to 113.00. Shares in Sofina (BR:SOF) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.69% or 1.20 to 174.60.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.24% or 2.90 to $1211.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.01% or 0.69 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.02% or 0.78 to trade at $77.07 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1701, while EUR/GBP fell 0.99% to 0.8996.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.53.
